WHAT IS GOOD NEIGHBOURTM?
Good NeighbourTM is a community
based web site where
people can exchange information, post upcoming events and receive shopping
incentives from Local Traders.`
The core concept works much like a bulletin board where the "subject"
is neighbourhood events and local dollar savings. The goal is to have people
"connect" with each other and with their local community.
Every week Good NeighbourTM will be introducing new local events and shopping specials. Some shopping
specials will last for just 24 hours, others for a week and some for months.
But whatever the savings period you will be introduced to some pretty
serious savings - so keep in constant touch.
In every area a local trader sponsors this
community initiative designed to increase community kinship and local
patronage to district businesses. Local Residents need to register
to participate in the Good Neighbour program.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Local residents are invited to apply for a ‘Good
NeighbourTM’ card which entitles them to a range of community based services
and to discounts if they produce the card when they shop locally. Good NeighbourTM
card holders also receive a password to the Good Neighbour web site to keep
them informed about local events and discounts. There is also a regular
'Good NeighbourTM'
Newsletter.
The 'Good NeighbourTM' Card carries the Name and Address of
its owner and also the name of the Local Sponsor. Thanks to this
sponsoring the
Good Neighbour card is ‘free’ - There is no no cost to either Local
Residents or to Local Traders
IWhen
a resident produces their ‘Good
NeighbourTM’ card at the time they make a purchase, they
will be entitled to whatever discount that Local Trader is offering. The
discounts will be updated daily on this web site or published in our
quarterly 'Good NeighbourTM' newsletter.
Local
Traders participating in the 'Good NeighbourTM' initiative will also display a
Good Neighbour sticker on their front window.
